35 Years of Experience

We have 35+ years of experience in
delivering the broad range of
projects from large to small
through out the NT.

We have delivered projects in all the urban centres of the Territory including Alice Springs, Uluru, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Palmerston and Darwin.

Our Principal, Les Platt, commenced practicing in the Northern Territory in 1985 firstly as Les Platt Architects transitioning to Platt Architects. The practice has delivered a broad range of small to large projects throughout the Territory including Education, Health, Housing, Industrial, Fit-out, Correctional Facilities and Defence.
Platt Architects has demonstrated over a long period of time, a commitment to the Territory through the use of local consultants and suppliers and the employment and training of home-grown talent.
Our knowledge of the Territory is extensive, from the hot dry remote regions of Central Australia up through the hot humid regions of the Top End.

ON BUDGET, ON TIME

Platt Architects deliver quality projects within budget and on time. Our experience enables us to develop a budget from the beginning of a project and continually maintain it until project completion. This process involves working closely with our clients, updating the budget regularly and reconciling the costs at the end of a project. Our recent projects have enabled our clients to undertake other additional works with the savings.

CONSULTATION

We at Platt Architects see ourselves as a conduit through which our client’s aspirations can be delivered. As Architects, the ability to listen and communicate effectively with all members of the Client Team, and to develop a solution that exceeds expectations, is our primary  objective.

REMOTE WORK

Over our 38 years Platt Architects have undertaken numerous projects in remote indigenous communities in both the arid and tropical regions of the Northern Territory. We pride ourselves on our ability to communicate effectively with Traditional Owners, local indigenous people as well as other interested stakeholders. We understand and work with the issues of distance, communication and buildability while identifying and including local employment opportunities within our projects.
